A bright spot on this Monday!

Hello, everyone!

I've been listing a few things today. I have a small section of my shop devoted to beading supplies, and listed some mother-of-pearl strands. And just now, I finished listing those platinum-plated labradorite earrings I mentioned in my last post! Here is the direct link to those earrings:

I am off to the post office now--I have to mail off an order from Saturday night--a strand of natural white mother-of-pearl rectangle beads. Happy shopping, everyone! And of course, happy Monday!

Until next time...

As promised, new labradorite earrings, with platinum-plated materials!

Aren't these gorgeous?!?!?! The earrings are made of faceted tumbled labradorite beads. There are 5 of these on the bottom and 3 on the top. In between are 3 jump rings. The ear wires, headpins, and jump rings are all platinum-plated copper. These earrings are mod and minimalist. I only made 1 pair of these, though I could make more if someone wanted me to (heck, I'd like a pair for me!!). I will list them on my Etsy shop (www.kcdesignsshop.com) on Monday or Tuesday for $19.50. Not a bad price for handmade platinum-plated labradorite earrings!

Until next time...

New stuff!

I've been making quite a few new pieces over the last couple of weeks. Today I listed one, a gorgeous orange mother-of-pearl wrap bracelet! I made this using memory wire--a great product! I love it because you don't need a clasp, and it will fit any size wrist! It's made of stainless steel wire, and remembers it's shape. You just wrap it around your wrist and go! Aside from the orange MOP chips, there are some brown wood beads and some 10mm faceted glass beads--those look almost like disco balls!! :) Take a look here:

I will be a photographer today--I have quite a few new pieces that I need to photograph, including some yummy mod earrings I made last night--labradorite and platinum-plated materials!! Be on the lookout for those.

I also relisted some pieces, including this necklace, perfect for fall! It's made of autumn jasper, with burgundy red jade nuggets, and gold-plated clasp.
Until next time...

Hello, world!

Hello, and welcome to my blog! My name is Kristen. I make handmade jewelry and accessories, which is sold on Etsy at www.kcdesignsshop.com. I recently started selling some supplies as well! I work out of my home studio, making attractive, one-of-a-kind jewelry at affordable prices.

Below is one of my recent creations--a lanyard, to hold an id badge. Beautiful, right? It's even prettier in real life.

I usually only make one of a given item. So if you want it, you need to grab it quickly, because most likely that's the only one in existence!

I've been having a desire to try to make copper rings recently. I used coated copper wire to make rings like these:
They're simple rings, and quite comfortable to wear. Once I form them, I hammer them by hand, for a more rustic look. Then, I coat them with a professional wax sealer. These are adjustable, and there are more designs at KC Designs www.kcdesignsshop.com.

You can find more than just rings and lanyards at KC Designs--there are necklaces galore, bracelets, earrings, and a few sets, among other fun things like beaded bookmarkers.

Aside from seeing my jewelry here, I'll be posting coupon codes from time to time. The coupon codes sometimes offer free shipping, or a nice percentage off your purchase. If you don't have an Etsy account, don't want one, but would like to purchase something from me, don't worry! Contact me through this blog, and I can send you an invoice through Paypal and we can do business that way. I ship anywhere in the world! Most of my customers are from the U.S., but I have happy customers from Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, and elsewhere!

Until next time...
